President Obama is a devout Spiderman fan and today Marvel Comics is releasing Amazing Spider-Man #583, which spins a
The comicbook is selling out so hot and fast that they're selling on eBay for between $25 and $50. Some retailers are selling the comicbook at eBay levels, and promising to donate proceeds over the retail price to charity.
"There hasn't been any excitement like this in comics since they killed Superman" in 1992, says one store owner.
The Obama/Spider-Man union has thrilled both comicbook aficionados and collectors of all things Obama-mania.
"The significance of the comic outweighs whoever I voted for," says one collector who owns about 1,600 Spider-Man comics. "To have Spider-Man have such a pinnacle moment as meeting the president, it's history."
In the comic, Spider-Man's alter ego, newspaper photographer Peter Parker, is assigned to cover the inauguration. While he's shooting photos, he spots an imposter Obama and swings into action as Spider-Man. And of course there's a "fist bump" between Spidey and the soon-to-be president -- the most powerful man in the free world.
SPIDERMAN 4
Marvel has also recently released the new Spiderman 4 movie posters, which clearly suggest that Carnage will be making an appearance as the new villain.
Carnage is a more powerful version of the Venom Symbiote, but this time bonds with a man named Cletus Kasady. Fans and critics of the Carnage storyline say the new movie will likely be a "complete gore-fest" as Carnage is stronger than both Venom and Spiderman combined and uses brutal force to subdue his foes, being more like the Incredible Hulk in his ability to ravage opponents.

A new series of the Savage She-Hulk comicbooks is also now available. No word yet as to whether a She-Hulk movie will ever be made.
The new Savage She-Hulk has red hair and a costume change. Apparently Marvel has decided to spice up her image.
