Liberals & NDP asking people to vote strategically

CANADA - You know its going to be a close battle to beat Stephen Harper and his corrupt band of Conservatives... but the Liberal and NDP parties aren`t taking any chances.

Instead they`re asking their supporters to VOTE STRATEGICALLY during the upcoming election in an effort to win a Liberal government (and if its a minority, at least then the Liberals and NDP can work together).

Today on Yonge Street in Toronto a woman was handing out fliers encouraging people to vote strategically in their local riding for whichever person (Liberal or NDP) is most likely to defeat the Conservative candidate, especially in key battleground ridings.

The idea is to prevent the Conservatives from forming another minority government.

There is even a grassroots campaign to encourage Canadians to vote for whichever candidate will defeat Stephen Harper, and the website is going viral!

To some extent the Liberal and NDP are also behaving strategically by not putting candidates in the other party`s strongholds. Or if they are running a candidate, its low key with not a lot of signage.

ie. Chinatown in Toronto is Olivia Chow`s stronghold, a guaranteed win for the NDP. The Liberals are running a candidate in Chinatown, but they are not making much of an effort judging by the lack of signage, and the Conservative candidate doesn`t even stand a chance.
