CANADA - Two nights ago someone tried to break into Gallery Delisle on Toronto's Queen Street E. and steal an abstract expressionist piece by Jackson Pollock. The owner is trying to sell it for $50 million and has received offers of $9 million, but is holding out for the larger sale price.Instead the would be thieves tripped an alarm and ran out of there before police or witnesses could arrive on the scene. According to witnesses voices were heard, but no one actually saw the thieves who tripped the infra-red sensors.
The gallery and the painting's owner have decided to put the Jackson Pollock painting in hiding for now.
