"I am a singer/songwriter from Great Falls, Montana. Gay marriage is not legal here in Montana and I wish that it was. I believe we LGBT folks are being denied a Constitutional right. I watched the results of Prop 8 in California with much interest. The more places in America that have gay rights the better things will eventually be for the rest of us. I was heart broken when Prop 8 passed and was elated when the Judge overturned it. The subsequent rulings are hopefully just speed bumps on the way to eventual victory.
I was moved emotionally by all of this and as a songwriter I was compelled to write about it. This song is a time capsule of my emotions regarding Prop 8 and the subsequent rulings. Please take the time to watch/listen to "Wearing White" and feel free to share it with anyone you feel could be ministered to by it's message." - James R. Waddell.
We believe that the more other people try to restrict our rights to be free the more people protest and demand their rights to be free. Trying to prevent people from having the right to get marriage will only further cause them to demand that right. Battles may be lost, but the war will never end until gay marriage is fully legalized.
