Lucian Freud portrait to be auctioned

ART HISTORY/FASHION - Model Jerry Hall and Sotheby's has announced plans to auction off her art collection on October 15th and 16th, including a portrait by Lucian Freud from when Jerry Hall was eight months pregnant with her son Gabriel.

Jerry Hall is the ex-wife of Rolling Stone legend Mick Jagger and the London UK auction will also include works by Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, David Bailey and other contemporary artists. Jerry Hall separated from Jagger in 1999 and has worked in the theatre ever since. Several of her daughters have gone into modelling.

The Lucian Freud portrait, "Eight Months Gone", is estimated to fetch more than £300,000 (about $480,000 CDN). Her collection includes two other works by Freud, known for his often grotesque realism.
