Toronto moving companies and hidden charges

CANADA - Executive Movers, a local Toronto moving company is getting a bad reputation. It has 17 complaints against them and has been charged twice with defrauding customers.

Home owners who are moving are extremely upset and CTV News is covering the story.

What Executive Movers have been doing is quoting prices for moves, but then once the truck is loaded they triple the price and hold the family's belongings ransom.

Sounds upsetting right? Who wouldn't be upset.

Executive Movers claims everything is legit, pointing to clauses in the fine print of contracts which says they can increase the cost of picking up and delivering your furniture and boxes of belongings.

Thats why its important to get proper estimates when hiring a moving company... And keep an eye out for those hidden clauses in the fine print.

A good recommendation is to look for a moving company with a better reputation (not necessarily the cheapest one). I recommend "Sasquatch Movers Toronto" which guarantees to be on time and no hidden charges.
