Charest wins Quebec

CANADA - Quebec Premier Jean Charest is heading to a majority government when Quebecers cast their ballots tomorrow, according to several polls.

Quebec-bashing by Prime Minister Stephen Harper who may have given PQ Leader Pauline Marois a slight boost in the campaign's final days and severely hurt Quebec's Conservative party.

A poll released Sunday gave Charest's Liberals 45% of the vote, the Parti Québécois 32%, Mario Dumont's Action Démocratique du Québec 14%, the Green Parti 5%, Québec Solidaire 4%. The Conservative Party? Not even worth mentioning now.
